The regional Grand Lodge of HMSTA Cyprus donates €15,000 to support the fire victims.

 

The Regional Grand Master of Cyprus Michael Hadjikonstantas offered a cheque for €15,000 to the Grand Lodge of Greece to support the victims of the devastating fires of last summer in Mati.

The Regional Grand Master was accompanied by Additional Grand Master Leandro Zacharias, Regional Grand Officers, and members of the Regional Grand Lodge of Cyprus who visited the M.S.T.E. on December 6, 2018, in order to present their donation to Grand Master Brother Constantine Politis.

Upon its arrival in Greece, the mission of the Regional Grand Lodge of Cyprus was welcomed by the Grand Treasurer, Brother Pavlos Sarof, while the Grand Master hosted a meal in honor of the guests. The same afternoon, they visited the Joint Session of Asclepius Lodge No. 159, Pistis Lodge No. 71 and Byzantium Lodge No. 60 in the newly built and magnificent Masonic Hall of Kifissia.

The ceremony hall was overcrowded with more than 180 people in attendance. The delegation from Cyprus was enriched by 12 additional brethren-members of King Tefkros Lodge No. 9786, who reside in Athens, including the Venerable and the Supervisors, as well as Former Venerables, and Regional Deans of EMSTA.

The Regional Grand Master of Cyprus Michael Hadjikonstantas offered a cheque for €15,000 to the Grand Master Brother K. Politis, who thanked the brothers from Cyprus, and assured them that the amount will be appropriately used for the purpose for which it is intended. He then announced that the M.S.T.E. unanimously decided to appoint the M. Hadjikonstanta as an Honorary Member, in recognition of his efforts to intensify the strengthening of the relations between the members of the Per. Grand Lodge of Cyprus with members in Greece. Finally, the Grand Master presented Brother Hatzikonstantas with the Diploma of the M.S.T.E. and the commemorative 200 year jewel.

Finally, the brothers participated in the Potion of Love that took place inside the Masonic Hall of Kifissia.
