The 3rd brother of Alexander Ypsilantis. Nikolaos Ypsilantis led the corps of the Sacred Company in the battle of Dragatsani, during which the Greeks were defeated, and as a result the revolution in Moldavia ended ingloriously. He left a memoir, written primarily in French.
