Thrasybulos Vlisidis (Naxos, 12/8/1886 - Athens, 18/2/1964)

He was born in 1886. He studied Natural Sciences at the University of Athens and completed his studies in Vienna, where he was awarded a doctorate in philosophy and a diploma from the Vienna School of Philosophy. He published many scientific writings.

He was Professor of General Biology at the Universities of Thessaloniki and Athens and Rector of the National University (1954-1955). He is recognised as the founder of biology in Greece. He was also active in the field of Apostolic Ministry.

He entered Freemasonry on 14 May 1922 in St. “Prometheus“, he was Grand Knight (1936-1948), Additional Grand Master (1948-1959), Grand Master (1959-1963) and Grand Master (1964).

He was transferred to the Eternal East in 1965.
