He studied law in Athens and trained in France. He was elected MP for Corfu in 1934 with the People’s Party. He was re-elected in 1935 and 36. Towards the end of the German occupation he fled to the Middle East and became Minister of Supply in the government of G. In the Middle East, in the Middle East, he was a member of the government of Papandreou. On his return to Greece he was elected several times as a member of parliament with the People’s Party and with the E.R.E. until 1967. He served as Minister of Public Order in 1946, Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1955-56, Minister of Agriculture in 1957, Minister of Finance in 1961, and Minister of the Interior in 1967,
With the declaration of the dictatorship, he fled to Switzerland until the post-coup of 1974. In 1977 he founded the National Party with Stefanos Stephanopoulos. In 1981 he was elected as a member of the State Parliament with the New Democracy. He published articles and studies in newspapers and magazines.
