Born into a large family that combined its name with the reopening of the Lavrio Mines, which belonged to the family of his Italian ancestor, John Baptist Serpieri. He studied economics and became a banker. He made great efforts in the professional organization and operation of mining operations in Greece. In 1924 he founded the Association of Mining Enterprises and was elected its President.
An active member of the economic life of the country, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Bank and President of the Railway Company.
He was a member of the Council of the Grand Lodge of Greece.
