He was born in 1919 in Dimitsana and in 1920 he settled in Athens. He considered himself a child of the Arcadian land and expressed a constant interest in his hometown, which he adored. As a young man, at the age of 23, he became a member of the Athens Bar Association. During the years of the Occupation he developed a rich resistance activity and was a member of the ‘Boumoulina’ organisation of Lela Karagianni.
In 1954 he became a Notary Public, succeeding his father. In his profession he excelled scientifically and professionally. He was a hard worker. Despite his health problems, he continued to work after his retirement until the day of his death. He was particularly ambitious. He kept a library of four thousand volumes of books which he updated with great care and diligence. He was a member of theParnassusPhilological Society, an active member of the Archaeological Society, was interested in the Greeks of the diaspora and for this reason was decorated by the Patriarchs of Antioch and Jerusalem.
He was initiated on 5 May 1958 at St. “Delphi”, on 9 February 1959 he received the rank of Partner and on 4 January 1960 he was promoted to the rank of Master. He was Venerable of St. “Osiris”, Grand Master of the Major Seminary of Greece (1972-1975) and served as Grand Master from 1975 to 1982. He was elevated to the 33rd degree in the year 1996. He passed through all the tectonic ranks and was elected twice consecutively to the highest distinction of Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Greece.
On June 20, 2001 he was transported to the Eternal East.
