Born into a well-known family of militants and politicians. He studied law at the University of Athens, and he also became involved in politics. He was elected several times as a deputy, in 1913, 1915, 1917, 1925 and 1926. Initially he supported Venizelos but later switched to the Vassiliki camp because of family pro-royalist ties.

In 1919 he was arrested and imprisoned. The government of Dim. He was appointed Prefect of Attikovoitia in 1922. He then became involved with the Municipality of Patreon, like his father and uncle. He was first elected mayor from 1934 to 1941. During the German occupation, he was forced to retire and joined the guerrilla forces. He fought against the occupiers.

After the liberation, he returns to Patras. He was leader of the People’s Party in the elections of the Government of the Mountain and was re-elected as a deputy. He returned as Mayor in 1951-54 and 1954-59. During his mayoralty, the Araxos airport was constructed, the city was electrified through the newly established PPC, the Cathedral of St. Andrew was completed and the Municipal Library and other public infrastructure projects were created.
