He graduated in Chemistry from the University of Athens and trained in Leipzig and Dijon, France. He graduated in California, USA as a specialist in Food Chemistry. He was involved in the Agricultural Industry and Winery. In 1934, he was appointed a Supervisor at the Athens School of Agriculture. Shortly afterwards he was elected full professor at the Chair of Agricultural Industries. He was twice (1960-1961 & 1966-1967) Rector of the Faculty. He left significant scientific writings, selectively mentioning : Introduction to Analytical Chemistry , Oenotechnics, Essential Oils, Saccharification etc.
