Dimitrios Papoulias (Athens, 1878 - 13/7/1932)

He was born in Athens in 1878, originally from Gortynia. He studied law and was awarded a doctorate in 1898. For further studies he went to Germany, where he stayed for a decade. He was appointed Professor of Civil Law at the University, served as Rector (1923-1924) and was a founding member of the Academy of Athens.

He wrote several works in German and Greek and was noted for his ethos and philanthropy.

He entered Freemasonry in 1925 in St. “Orpheus“, was a Major Eleon. of the Major St. (1929-1931) and Grand Master during the period from 1931 to 04.08.1932.

He was transferred to the Eternal East in 1932.
