Ο Vicente Lopez i Fallacies (Vicente López y Planes, 1785-1856) was an important Argentine political figure and President of Argentina during the early democratic period. He was born in the city of Buenos Aires and became a central figure in the struggle for Argentina’s independence from Spain. He developed into a diplomat and military leader, playing an important role in the military and political life of the country.

He served as President of Argentina in 1827, as well as in the country’s hierarchy and served in other political positions. His political career was marked by the challenges that existed during the process of building the new state after Argentina’s independence.

According to historical evidence, Vicente Lopez i Planes was a member of Freemasonry, as were many other Latin American leaders of the time.

Lopez i Planes was associated with the ideas of Freemasonry, which upheld the principles of Enlightenment, democracy and independence, and which he himself supported in his political career. His participation in Masonic circles reflected his commitment to these values.

He was part of the first intellectual and political movements in Argentina and Freemasonry’s influence was important in the formation of the new independent state.

He died on 10 October 1856 in Buenos Aires.
