He studied Civil Engineering at the NTUA and then trained at the National School ”Des Ponts et Chaussees” in Paris. He specialised in soil engineering and bridge construction in Zurich and London. He was awarded a doctorate from the NTUA. He worked as an engineer for the Greek Railways, at the Ministry of Transport (1942-1950). He was then hired as an adjunct professor at the NTUA of soil engineering.

From 1951 to 1962 he became Professor of Applied Engineering and Technical Works at the School of Aviation Engineering. From 1956 to 1959 Professor of Bridge Engineering at the Evelpidon School of Engineering. In 1955 he becomes Professor at the NTUA of the chair of ”Stone and timber bridges, retaining walls & foundations”. He was honoured by the State with the Golden Cross of George I, the Medal of Exceptional Acts and the Silver Cross of Phoenix. He served as Supreme Grand Brigadier (1990-96).
