He studied at the University of Sorbonne and worked as a journalist. His thesis for his doctorate was on “Contemporary Greek Theatre”. From 1930 he collaborated and worked as a journalist with major mainly Athenian newspapers, such as Nea, Acropolis, Kathimerini, Mesimvrini, Eleftherotypia and the National Herald of New York. In 1926 he made his appearance in literature with one-act plays. In 1933 his plays began to be performed in the theatrical stages of Athens (Mousouri, Kotopouli, National Theatre, Aroni, Myrat, etc.) Apart from his twenty plays, he wrote poetry, short stories and novels. In 1940 he was awarded the State Theatre Prize for his play Waiting Room. From 1946 to 1960 he lived in the United States and worked as a correspondent for Athenian newspapers. His interviews with celebrities of the time, including Eisenhower, Acheson, Hoover, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Susan Hayworth, etc., were notable. He also worked at 20th Century Fox studios. He travelled to many countries and sent his always interesting reports on society, problems and current affairs.
