F:. Phoenix Thessaloniki

(Lesvos 1882 – Thessaloniki 1977)

 

He completed his studies at the secondary school of the French School of Constantinople. He studied law at the University of Athens. He joined the army and served in the Archipelagos Division and was liaison, as a French speaker, between the Greek and French staffs. He then served in the Asia Minor campaign in the independent Theotoki Division. He then worked as a lawyer, first in Athens and then in Thessaloniki. He was elected a proxy of Lesvos and participated in the National Assembly of 1924 (Alex Papanastasiou). He was an excellent lawyer and Rotor, specializing in criminal law. He was held in high social esteem. He was honoured in 1935 by the Ecumenical Patriarchate with the title of Archon Ecclesiasticus of the Great Church of Christ, for his valuable services.
