He studied Chemistry at the University of Athens and then received his PhD. After a competitive examination he attended the prestigious National Agricultural School of Montpellier, France (1905). He fought in the Balkan Wars and later in World War II. He was awarded many medals for bravery in both wars and inter-allied. He served as Prefect of Evia. Afterwards, he served as Gen. Inspector of Viticulture of the Ministry of Agriculture and finally Gen. Secretary. He was vice-president of the Agricultural Bank.
Permanent representative of Greece in international forums of wine, vine growers, agricultural companies, institutes of agricultural economics. etc. In 1930-37 he was elected Full Professor of Viticulture at the Higher School of Agriculture. Then he became professor at the Agricultural School of Thessaloniki. In 1941 he returned to Athens and was elected Rector for many years, 1947-48, 1953-54, 1956-59.
B. Krimbas created a unique collection of Greek grapes of 270 varieties and 45 foreign varieties. In 1946 he was elected a prosector member of the Academy of Athens and in 1960 a full member. He left a large literary work of studies, papers, articles, etc. He was honoured by the State with the Silver Cross of the Saviour and the Order of the Order and the Gold Medal of Agricultural Merit of King George II.
He was initiated into the Skenderbeis Lodge on January 23, 1918. In 1918 he founded Orpheus Lodge of which he was the first Venerable for a number of years. Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Greece during the period 1931-1936. In 1938 he was made an honorary Venerable Venerable of Philip Lodge. Since 1935 active member of the 33rd Degree Supreme Council. In 1950, he was elected Supreme Grand Master Brigadier until 1964.
