Kanellopoulos Efthimios (Athens, 15/7/1872 - Bern, 30/5/1933)

He studied law at the Universities of Athens and Paris. In 1901 he entered the diplomatic profession. He was appointed First Secretary at the Consulate General of the Ottoman Thessaloniki (1906-1910). He collaborated with Ion Dragoumis and other Greek officers for the success of the Macedonian struggle. He was then posted to the embassies in Constantinople, Bucharest, Vienna .

In 1917 he was appointed Consul General of Alexandria, Counsellor at the London Embassy in 1918. Immediately afterwards Ambassador High Commissioner in Constantinople until 1921. In September 1922 after the Asia Minor disaster he was appointed Minister of National Economy and temporarily Foreign Affairs in the government of Crocida . 1923 finds him Ambassador in Berlin until 1930 and then in Bern until his death in 1933 .

He was awarded the Silver and Gold Cross of the Saviour (1908 & 1915).
