He studied Law and Philosophy in Athens and then in Germany. His multifaceted personality and interests were great, so he did not limit himself to a sterile science. He broadened his horizons by studying in depth historical and political issues, translating foreign philosophers such as Hobbes by analyzing them uniquely. He made studies in German on Freemasonry which are in the German archives. He was initiated into Germany at the Zur Kette Lodge in Munich. Later he was adopted at Prometheus Lodge. Kodiades is considered the most serious scholar of Political Science. His work was later summarized and published after his death in 2000 in a massive volume that is a scholarly compendium and a legacy for younger scholars. This book is entitled ‘Political Analects’ and was published by the ‘Centre for European Constitutional Law, Them. Ion Kodiades studied in depth the history of human thought, the fascinating adventure of reason, enriched himself intellectually through research and the thorough study of man, and finally turned his attention to thinking about the state.
