Georgios Binianis was born in Athens. He completed his general studies in various cities in Greece and Cyprus and graduated from Lycée Royal Marguerite Bervoets High School in Mons, Belgium.

He attended French University, where he obtained the following degrees: LICENCE in Economic Sciences – Business Administration, MASTER1 Maitre-es-arts Economiques, MASTER 2 Management des Organisations de la Net Economie, from the University of Amiens-France, Université de Picardie Jules Verne.

He is a business consultant and maintains a Consultancy Office with offices in Attica and Paris (Rue du Maine). Locally he collaborates with businesses primarily in the field of construction studies for public and private projects, as well as real estate, and abroad mainly in the field of Shipbuilding, especially in the sector of anti-corrosion protection and coatings on newly built ships, as a Senior Consultant for the company IMSA ltd France, operating at the Atlantic Shipyards in Saint Nazaire, France. He is also the Commercial Representative for Imports-Exports of the Piraeus Association and Vice President of the Hellenic-French Association of Greece.

He has received various honorary distinctions for his numerous professional and social contributions. He has been a voluntary blood donor for 30 years, donating blood every six months at the Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital for children suffering from Mediterranean anemia. He is an avid sports fan, with sailing being his passion. He is a member of the international Shriners and De Molay orders, with significant voluntary philanthropic activity on a global scale.

CRAFT FREEMASONRY:

  • He was initiated in the Anagennisis Lodge No. 75 in Athens in March 1992.

  • He served as Worshipful Master during the 2007-2009 term and since then has served a Representative in the General Assembly of the Grand Lodge of Greece (MSTE).

  • He served as Grand Inspector and a distinguished member of the Grand Council of the Grand Lodge of Greece during the terms 2013-2016, 2016-2019, and 2022-2025, serving in the positions of Grand Director of Ceremonies (2013-2019) and Pro Grand Master and Grand Chancellor of the Grand Lodge of Greece (2022-2025), as well as Chairman of the International Relations Department, actively participating in all international Masonic congresses and events worldwide, placing Grand Lodge at the forefront of international Masonic developments.
    He has received honorary distinctions from numerous Regular and Recognized Grand Lodges abroad and the title of Honorary Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Para, Brazil.

THE YORK RITE

  • He was admitted in 1994, and has since Chaired all three of the York Rite Appendant Orders: as High Priest (Assistant 7), Illustrious Master (Astyanax 7), and Eminent Commander (Saint Eustathius 5).

  • He was also elected and served as a Senior Officer in all three Grand Councils of the York Rite: The Grand Chapter of the Masons of the Royal Arch of Greece, The Grand Council of Cryptic Masonry in Greece, and the Grand Encampment of the Knights Templar of Greece and Cyprus.

  • He is a member and has served as an Officer in the three Orders of the York Rite: the High Priests, the Silver Trowel, and the Eminent Commanders.

  • He served as Grand Master of Cryptic Masonry in Greece for the term 2019-2022.

  • He is Honorary Grand High Priestof the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons.

  • He is Honorary Grand Master of the Grand Conclave of the Knights Templar of Greece and Cyprus.

  • He is a member of the Order of the Knights Cross of Honour of York KYCH, where he holds a high office.

  • He is a lifetime member of the Order of the Secret Crypt.

  • He is a member of the General International Grand Chapter of the Masons of the Royal Arch, based in the United States, from 2011 to present: For the period 2011-2017, as Ambassador for Greece. For the period 2017-2023, as Additional Deputy Grand Preceptor for Europe, and for the period 2023-2026, he was elected to the position of Deputy Grand Preceptor for the General International Grand Chapter of the Masons of the Royal Arch for Europe, working alongside the other five Deputies for the other continents to promote, expand, and ensure the prosperity of the Worldwide York Rite Freemasonry.

ANCIENT AND ACCEPTED SCOTTISH RITE

  • He was admitted in 1994 serving as an Officer in several lodges of the Rite and as Sovereign in the Supreme Chapter Lyceus Zeus for the period 2009-2011, as well as Grand Inspector for the period 2011-2013. He holds the 33rd degree.
