He started studying law in Athens but soon abandoned it to pursue his great love of medicine. He graduated in 1900, receiving his doctorate degree. He continued his studies in Berlin where he was again awarded a doctorate. He returned to Greece and was appointed a physician at the Astyklinika.
He became a professor of Special Nursing and Therapeutics and a member of the Pathology Clinic. In 1918 he became Full Professor of Special Nursing and Therapeutics. He published many medical scientific writings. We selectively mention: Diseases of Nutrition, Special Nosology and Therapeutics, Diseases of the Motor System, Occupational Diseases, Azoaminosis, etc.
